Have you downloaded your free music this week? With your Maxwell Library card, you can download up to 3 free songs every week -- and keep them in your private collection forever!

This is the time of year when mailboxes are bursting with calendars from many organizations. Please bring your extras for 2014 to Maxwell Library.
We will collect them through January 11, and then see that they are distributed to residents in local nursing homes.

If a medium can be used for artistic expression, it’s a safe bet that Marilyn Masters has worked with it.
The impressionist artist, originally from Huntington, NY, is a graduate of both the Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
A registered nurse with a degree from Upstate Medical Center, Masters has combined her artistic and health careers by creating detailed medical drawings. Paintings by Marilyn Masters will be on display at Maxwell Memorial Library December 2 through 23.
Sunshine Friends is a volunteer organization which provides animal assisted activities throughtout Central New York.
Laura Welsh and her canine assistant will be here to interact with kids on Saturday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m.
Come read and talk to her dog, and hear what the dog has to say to you! For more information about Sunshine Friends click on the link http://www.sunshinefriends.org/
Trameca Campbell, certified Childbirth Educator/Lactation Consultant with the International Childbirth Education Association, will meet with new mothers Friday, December 13, 11 a.m. to noon, to answer questions about breastfeeding. Mothers may bring their infants.
Registration is required as space is limited.

This past winter, the MOST contacted OCPL to generously offer free museum passes to system patrons.
To that end, OCPL subscribed to TixKeeper, an online reservation software program.
Patrons will be able to check out a pass that is valid for four days and allows four people to visit the MOST once during those four days.

Based on the novel by Rudolfo Anaya, this magical film depicts the spiritual growth of a six-year old boy in New Mexico at the end of World War II. Catholicism and paganism, family and community are examined as young Antonio learns the ways of the world.
Rated: PG-13, 106 minutes

Mystery Book Club: Unraveling Yarns - 2nd Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
Unraveling Yarns is Maxwell's mystery with knitting book club. The book selections will all have a mystery or suspense theme.
The group meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month, 10:30 am - Noon.
The next meeting will be Thursday, December 12.
The title of each selection is a mystery until you pick up your copy at the
Main Desk. You don't knit? Come anyway!
Between the Lines Book Club - 4th Monday at 2:00 p.m.
Join us on Monday, December 30 at 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. for a great book chat.

They are available to check out from the library for a three-week period.
They're loaded with many bestsellers and summer reading list titles.

Remembering Camillus is a project to collect, share and archive stories of Camillus residents about their lives here – growing up, working, playing, worshiping, going to school, raising families. Please call the library if you'd like to record your Camillus memories.
