The Syracuse Post-Standard at Maxwell
Maxwell Library receives a print copy of the Syracuse Post-Standard on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. These are available for reading in the library. The paper is also available in digital format all seven days, and can be accessed on the library’s public computers. The library staff can help demonstrate basic navigating, and can also provide basic instruction on downloading your own subscription to your personal electronic device.

There's plenty of parking behind the Village Hall.
There will also be a selection of geraniums for sale that day.
Stop by and say 'hello' while you're shopping at the Mile Long Sale, also being held on Saturday.
The Friends took orders for 1,488 geraniums! It's going to be quite the sight on Saturday morning. :)
West Genesee Central School District Budget Vote on Tuesday, May 21.
Voting hours are 6:00 am - 9:00 pm
A proposition to provide Maxwell with increased funding is included.

Mother's Day, an exhibit of works by interactive designer and illustrator Mitzie Testani, will be at Maxwell May 2 through 28.
The public is invited to a reception and artist talk on Wednesday, May 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The annual Visual Arts Exhibit of the West Genesee Central School District returns to Maxwell beginning in March and running through May.

Families of featured artists are welcome to bring cameras.
Becoming a foster or adoptive parent is a process regulated by the Children’s Division of the Onondaga County Department of Social Services.
If you are over 21 years old and interested in learning about the certification process, come to a free informational session at Maxwell Library on
Wednesday, May 29, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Topics to be discussed include qualifications of prospective foster or adoptive parents, steps involved in receiving certification, and financial and medical resources available to foster children.
There is no obligation involved in attending this meeting, but please register in advance through the library’s online event calendar.

Mystery Book Club: Unraveling Yarns - 2nd Thursday at 10:30 am
Unraveling Yarns is Maxwell's mystery with knitting book club. The book selections will all have a mystery or suspense theme.
The group meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month, 10:30 am - Noon.
The next meeting will be Thursday, May 9.
The title of each selection is a mystery until you pick up your copy at the
Main Desk. You don't knit? Come anyway!
Between the Lines Book Club - 4th Monday at 2:00 pm
