To mark the 20th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001, the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City has created an educational webinar designed for students and families, ages 8 and above. Participants will learn about 9/11 through personal stories from 9/11 family members (Cait Leavey, Brielle Saracini, and John Spade), first responders from the FDNY and PAPD, and a student on 9/11. A live chat with Museum staff will follow the program. The webinar will be interpreted in American Sign Language and captioned in English. An audio description and Spanish subtitles will also be available.

Maxwell Library will hold two showings of the webinar in our Community Room on Saturday, September 11, at 11 AM and at 1 PM. The webinar runs approximately 35 minutes, with live chat available after the showing.

The program is free, but registration is required and space is limited. Masks must be properly worn by everyone in attendance. If you and your family would like to see the webinar but are unable to join us at the Library, please email us at maxwell@maxwellmemoriallibrary.org. We will email you a link for viewing and participating in the webinar from your home. Please send us your request by Friday, September 10, 12 PM.
